Position: General Manager (Fire & Safety) – Factory

Responsibilities:
To Develop Fire Safety Policies & SOPs for overall factory & implement them.
To motivate and leading a high-performance management team of Fire & Safety Department in ensuring fire safety Compliance of the factory as per existing regulations (NFPA, BNBC, BLL, Buyer’s needs etc.) and preparing the factories for audits.
To face fire safety audits in all factories, rectifying the audit observations (CAPs) and clearing the NCs of all the factories by maintaining rapport with Fire Services & Civil Defense, RSC, Foreign Buyers, factory Heads and other govt. offices for their cooperation in fire safety issues.
To ensure Fire Safety support to all the factories by ensuring foreign and local procurement of Central Fire Detection System (CFDS), Fire Protection System (FPS), Fire Doors, portable Fire Extinguishers, Fire equipment etc. in competitive price through CS of quotations of concern vendors and ensuring their supply and installation in all the factories.
Implement policies in Fire and Safety Department; ensuring smooth management of all employees of different Department; attracting & recruiting potential candidates for the Fire Safety Department factory and organizing their orientation.
Monitor regular maintenance, operability and day-today problem solving of CFDS, FPS, Fire Doors and Fire equipment; ensuring timely refilling of all portable fire extinguishers; calling meetings, decisions and ensuring their implementation etc.
Retaining the employees through motivation; dealing with discipline & grievances; monitoring leave & absenteeism; ensuring promotion, OHS, salary & benefits, OT, PA, PE, etc; counseling & guiding employees for their dedication for the org as well as their career; ensuring regular Fire Training and Drill of all employees of the factory by Fire Brigade & selected TP-1 providers etc.
Any other task assign by the Management time to time when required.
Education Requirements:
Masters/ MBA with major in any discipline from any reputed university.
